Hey there!  I'm Christie, a girl from Ontario, Canada and I'm the blogger behind Chrissy Chows.  I am currently a university student, however I will admit that I spend most of my time cooking in my res than doing my homework and assignments (don't tell my mom).  

Initially, I created this blog to share my love for food and nutritious eating.  However, after a few years of listening to my body and being more mindful while I eat, I have discovered that a plant based diet was the perfect fit for my lifestyle.  That being said, there are some recipes on this blog that I have written prior to switching to a plant based diet.  Although they do not reflect my current eating habits, I have decided to keep them on the blog because I believe they are still healthy and nutritious recipes that I would like to share with my friends that are not vegetarian/vegan.  Despite my change in diet, I am still the same girl who loves to experiment with different ingredients to create healthy and delicious recipes!

In addition to cooking, I also love to travel, taste different food from around the world and visit cafés.  I have a deep love for fresh durian, which I fell in love with when I visited Thailand for the first time.  

Through this blog, I hope to inspire others to live a healthy and happy lifestyle. :)
